I am Born to the Theatre

I touch drama enveloped around me.
Those curtains part with anxiety.
We are real life in a mimic.
I am able to screech pain,
paint happiness,
We are expressions on faces.
We look at the audience as if they were
a garden in fatigue,
I am woven into the spotlights,
drenched with the readiness
to charge at my lines.
My shadow weighs an actress,
I sponge my hands over the masks and become
one.
