Rachel McGuinness

Rachel McGuinness is a senior studying mechanical engineering at Trine University in Angola, Indiana. She is a six-time winner of the Kent County Poetry Contest and a four- time winner of Trine University’s Walter Cunningham Writing Contest. In addition, she has won the Michigan River of Words Writing Competition as well as the Toledo Museum of Art Ekphrastic Writing Contest. Rachel also serves on the editorial board of “Through the 3rd Eye” and regularly contributes to the website. She states that she is very grateful to her poetry mentor, Rodney Torreson, for encouraging her writing from a young age and helping her to grow as a poet.
